Sewing Project "The Brave Tailors"

Sewing machines in school – a bizarre idea. Yet one that became a reality at our school on Saturday, September 12, 2020. Sixteen students from grades 5 and Q2 with little to moderate sewing experience embarked on a sewing workshop organized by Mrs. Akdag over the weekend. Under the guidance of two highly experienced seamstresses, Mrs. Chrobok and Mrs. Steinel-Schrenk, who work together with Mrs. Akdag in the Erasmus program at our school, the "brave tailors" transformed old T-shirts into shopping bags and practical everyday masks. Now that the students are familiar with the basics, they can really get started in the two upcoming sessions. Bags, cushions, shorts, skirts, and dresses – there are virtually no limits to their creativity.
